A material consideration is a matter that should be taken into account in deciding a planning application or on an appeal against a planning decision.

However, issues such as loss of view, or negative effect on the value of properties are not material considerations.

The Chair opened the meeting, informing those present that it was important that they as individuals wrote their own comments regarding this major application and submit them to UDC’s planning portal before the 5th of April 2022, and to keep in mind the material considerations for planning matters when writing those comments. It was noted that the quantity of comments will have an impact on the outcome.
The Council will consider their comments to submit at the next Parish Council meeting to be held on Tuesday the 22nd of March at 7:45 PM.

It was requested that the list of Material Considerations be made available to the public via noticeboards and the Parish Council website. It was requested that the minutes of this meeting be made available and distributed via the Sampford Signal as soon as possible.
The Chair thanked all of those that came to the meeting. Cllr Boyce encouraged those that came, to speak to the rest of the village that were unable to make it, to motivate them to submit comments as well.

FILLING OF CASUAL VACANCY ON THE SAMPFORDS PARISH COUNCIL (GREAT SAMPFORD)
Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has occurred in the office of Parish Councillor for the above Parish arising from the resignation of William Parker.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held if notice in writing of a request for such an election is made by ten Local Government electors for the electoral area* and received by the Proper Officer, C/o Electoral Services, Uttlesford District Council, Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 4ER, by not later than Tuesday 1 February 2022.
If an election is not requested by ten Local Government electors, the vacancy
will be filled by the Parish Council as soon as practicable after the expiry of
the date referred to above.
*if the parish is warded, the 10 signatories all need to be from the parish ward where the vacancy has arisen.
