60 Appointment of Parish Council Members
There were two expressions of interest for Parish Council positions.
Mrs Emma Bradford for Little Sampford Nominated by JW, seconded WB
Mr Simon Boyce for Great Sampford Nominated by KT, Seconded WB
We are still short of one member but if we get sufficient interest we can extend
the membership therefore generating a broader spectrum of views.

61 Public Forum
The question was asked as to the reasons for the PC resignations.  JW gave a brief
overview.  JW also noted the lack of public attendance.

64 To approve Minutes from the last meeting held on
Minutes from the last meeting held on 5th March 2020 approved and signed
as correct.

65 Matters arising
65.1 Traffic control light flickers, will get the willow tree cut back
65.2 Play Area - The goal posts have been done
65.3 Sparepenny Lane signs WPc will do
65.4 Salt bin at top of Sparepenny Lane WPc will do

66 Local Village Plan
Agreed to put together a plan as a guide for UDC.  Proposed that
members of the public of parish get involved in the process.  Agreed
that JW will put together an advert for Sampford Signal to get more
coverage, asking for volunteers.

67 Reports from Councillors on their proposed area of responsibility

67.1 Play area (KT/WP)
Chris has done a great job with the hedges and grass

67.2 Grass Cutting and trees  (KT/WP)
Grass cutting and  trees looking good

67.3 Publicity  (JL)
Ambo has just been published.

67.4 Website and IT  (WPc)
Nothing to report.

67.5 Liaison with Village organisations. (JW)
Questioned on the latest on the Red Lion - unsure.

67.6 Village Hall  (JL)
The AGM is overdue so will do that with the next
meeting.

To contact the Red Lion about parking it there

71.5 To send a letter to the Gate welcoming them to the village and
offering to support them in integrating into village life

71.6 Highways - WP to write to residents along the Highbank asking them
to cut the hedge back

71.7 Speeding through the village - ask parisioners if they will get involved
in the community speed watch programme

71.8 Sparepenny Lane North - To contact UDC regarding responsibility for
for maintenance LH

71.9 Christmas tree - plan to place in church again this year

71.10 Footbridge broken - 2 need replacing Tindon End WP
